Our First Blog!

Hey Everybody, The Percussion Exchange is in the house. This is just the first of many newsletters to come, so please join our e-mail list to keep up with what’s happening here at The Percussion Exchange. With the music scene opening back up in the U.S.  it’s the best time to launch our website and share our one of a kind instruments with the world!

In episode 8 of Workbench Wednesday you saw Chris put together an Ambrosia Maple Shell, which will be included in a giveaway! Prizes for this giveaway will include; DrumPrax Practice pads, Vansir cymbals, and the grand prize of the Ambrosia Maple Stave Snare Drum. We also showed a beautiful Patagonia Rosewood shell that is almost complete. This instrument has a thicker rim, allowing the bulk of the drum to be rather thin, and providing a much more low tone than a thicker snare would be able to produce. Chris also talks about his workshop, the workshop of a true Mainer! Showing you tools that have been passed down from generation to generation of tradesmen from this wonderful state. In the workshop is where the magic happens, and Chris’s passion for playing the drums and woodworking come together to create the unique instruments that you see on this website.
